Obst Runs with Flush into Superior Flush

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

James Obst was the bring-in for the third time in a row and called when Jesse Martin completed. Obst called another bet on fourth with three-deuce suited and led out on fifth where his board spiked a third diamond. Martin called. Obst whiffed a check-raise on sixth and Martin called. He called one more bet from Obst on the river.

"Flush," Obst announced rolling over {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{X-} / {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

Martin, however, had the best hand with an ace-high flush, showing {A-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} / {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Yu and Birman Duetting Again

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Ben Yu and Yaniv Birman have played many pots against each other and they just had they're first get-together on the unofficial final table.

They were seen on fifth street, each in for a bet. Yu bet on sixth, earning a call and they tapped the river.

Ben Yu: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{J-Spades} / {9-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Yaniv Birman: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

Yu had just a pair of tens but it was enough to beat Birman's hand and claim the pot.

Todd Brunson Eliminated in 10th Place ($19,428)

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Todd Brunson
Todd Brunson

Todd Brunson was among the players who had just peanuts in front of them after the long bubble.

He put his money in against Yaniv Birman who made a flush with {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Brunson wasn't drawing dead before river as he had {5-}{3-}{5-}{9-}{K-}{J-} with four clubs.

He peeled the river. "It's black!"

Then he looked at the card and, unfortunately for him, it was the {2-Spades}. Brunson departed in 10th place and the remaining field combined to the last table.

Nicholas Seiken

Nicholas Seiken was down to fewer than one bet on the break and he registered in the Big Bet Mix, expecting to bust shortly. However, he managed to double twice and ran his stack to about 80,000. But his comeback was halted shortly thereafter.

Seiken made it two bets after Yaniv Birman completed and Birman called. Seiken bet on fourth and Birman called. The rest of the money went in on fourth where Birman hit a pair of sixes. He led out, Seiken raised and Birman put him all in for 7,000 more.

Nicholas Seiken: {A-Clubs}{5-Hearts} / {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Yaniv Birman: {10-Hearts}{2-Spades} / {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Seiken made aces up as he spiked two jacks but Birman caught third six on sixth street and eliminated him in 12th place.

Seiken: {A-Clubs}{5-Hearts} / {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} / {K-}
Birman: {10-Hearts}{2-Spades} / {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} / {8-Spades}
