Table #6 Update

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Steve Foutty finished in sixth place in this event last year and is looking to do even better this year. He's off to a good start on Table #6 thanks in part to the following hand.

The flop read {8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades} and there was around 1,000 in the middle already. David Korn bet 750 from mid-position and Foutty decided to shove with the bigger stack. Korn called.

David Korn: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Steve Foutty: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

They both had overpairs but Foutty's was bigger. The {k-Hearts} on the turn gave Foutty a set of kings and meant that Korn was drawing dead. The {8-Clubs} on the river was no matter, Korn was sent packing, and Foutty earned a boost to his stack.

Small Blue Update

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Aylar Lie, Scott Stewart, and Mark Kroon are seated together at Table #2.

Just now at that table, the board read {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Clubs} and there was about 4,000 in the middle already. Yosuke Takagi in mid-position had checked. Scott Stewart was sitting in the cutoff and bet 3,750. Takagi considered for a while but ended up folding.

A hand later, Stewart limped from the hijack and Mark Kroon raised to 650 in the big blind. Stewart called. When Kroon continued with a bet on the flop, Stewart folded immediately.
