Berumen Chops to Stay In

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

On the three-way flop of {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}, Lori Berumen bet and Jason Phamolivo raised on the button. That forced out the small blind, while Berumen called. After the {J-Hearts} turn, Berumen checked and subsequently check-raised all in for another 2,900 on top of Phamolivo's bet, and that was quickly called for the following showdown.

Lori Berumen: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Jason Phamolivo: {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Phamolivo had plenty of outs to scoop Berumen, however, the {5-Diamonds} on the river was none of them as both chopped it up. Berumen remains among the shorter stacks with some 205 hopefuls remaining.

Phil Hellmuth Wants to Make You Money

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Phil Hellmuth discusses the recent twitter debate regarding buying parts in players and just how you will make money. Some players say the markups are outrageous, Phil stands by making money via players regardless and explains why. The argument over this started at the super high roller. The WSOP 2018 has a lot of players staking. Many of the players staked at WSOP are champs that have made people a lot of money. What difference does it make marking up a small margin? Phil wants to make you money, none it seems - if as usual you choose wisely!

Bienenfeld on Six Figures

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Three players were active in a hand and each of them put a bet in on the turn. The dealer completed the {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board by adding the {9-Clubs} to it, eliminating any possible low hands. All three active players checked their hand.

"Two pair?" Harry Bienenfeld said with an unsure tone, and he showed {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for tens and sixes. Eddie Blumental flung a hand containing {A-}{3-}{2-} in the muck, and Rod Chern also head-shakingly folded. Bienenfeld scooped up all of it and rose to 100,000.

Honas Busts; Chio Chips Up

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Paul Honas raised first to act and was called three ways by Daniel Chio, David Self in the small blind and Allen Kessler in the big blind. On the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, action checked to Chio and his bet was called by Kessler and Honas only.

After the {J-Spades} turn, action checked once more to Chio and he bet, forcing out Kessler. Honas called all in for his last 900 chips and the cards were turned over.

Paul Honas: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Daniel Chio: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Honas was hoping for a miracle, but it never happened with the {6-Spades} on the river further improving Chio to a full house. "That's the way he has been running today," Kessler said in table chat.

Chern Busts to Yoroi

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

A short-stacked Rod Chern was all in and at risk with the {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and table neighbor Itsuko Yoroi looked him up with the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

The board came {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Chern's two pairs were no good, he didn't have any qualifying low hand either and that awarded the entire pot to Yoroi with a flush.
