flop Laplante check-called a bet before repeating the action on the 
turn.
"I hate that card," joked Laplante's opponent after the 
river fell, and both players had checked.

"You hate that card?" Laplante jokingly smiled, after his opponent had shown two pair.
"Yeah, I thought it hit you" laughed his opponent.
"I was on a draw," replied Laplante, after showing a single jack in his hand and mucking.
