Nguyen Bets Into Three Players

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

Scotty Nguyen opened to 300,000 and was called by James Calderaro, Jason Koon, and Ryan Tosoc in the big blind. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {6-Hearts} on the turn.

Tosoc checked again and Nguyen tossed in a bet of 300,000. Tosoc was the only one to call and the {j-Spades} landed on the river. Both players checked and Tosoc announced that he missed. Nguyen turned over {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for just a pair of eights to take the pot.

Just two hands later, four players saw a flop of {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} in a limped pot. The action was checked around to the {8-Spades} on the turn. The action checked to Shaun Deeb who tossed out a bet of 225,000 on the button. Calderaro called while Koon and David Benyamine laid their hands down.

The river was the {k-Hearts} and Calderaro checked blind, staring at Deeb the entire time. Deeb put together a bet of 850,000 and Calderaro had a big decision. "I flopped top set, turned a straight, and I don't think I can win," Calderaro expressed.

After three minutes of thinking, Calderaro laid down his hand and Deeb offered to show two cards. Koon picked out the {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for the nut straight and Deeb dragged in the pot.
