Triple Up for Volpe

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Paul Volpe
Paul Volpe

Paul Volpe raised to 35,000 first to act and was called by Jacob Kalb from two seats over. Phil Galfond in the big blind raised the pot to 145,000, Volpe called all in for 64,000 and Kalb called.

On the {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, Galfond bet the pot and that forced out Kalb.

Paul Volpe: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Phil Galfond: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The {5-Diamonds} turn and {A-Hearts} river changed nothing and Volpe tripled with a set of aces.

Assorted Counts

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Michael Song further increased his stack after taking on Jacob Kalb. Until the river of a board {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} there were already 300,000 in the middle and Kalb faced a bet of 220,000 by Song. That ended up forcing a fold and Song chipped up without showdown.

At almost the same time, Ralph Perry was sent to the rail on a different table.

Zack Doubles Through Kozlov

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

On the heads-up turn of {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, Dan Zack was all in for the last 53,000 and picked up a caller in Martin Kozlov.

Dan Zack: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Martin Kozlov: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The {3-Hearts} on the river changed nothing whatsoever and Zack doubled to remain in contention.

Schindler Bricks Off Against Nguyen

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Jake Schindler
Jake Schindler

On a flop of {J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, a short-stacked Jake Schindler ended up all in and at risk with the {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} for an open-ended straight and flush draw.

Scotty Nguyen was narrowly ahead with the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for an overpair and double gutshot to a better straight, and the {K-Hearts} turn and {3-Hearts} river were both blanks to eliminate Schindler.

Katz Eliminated by Sekularac

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Cary Katz raised to 18,000 from under the gun, Eric Cloutier called from the next seat over, Ognjen Sukalarac called from the hijack and James Park called from the cutoff.

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, Katz shoved for 50,000, Cloutier folded, Sekularac called and Park folded.

Sekularac showed {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, while Katz showed {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for multiple draws.

The {Q-Hearts} turn and {8-Clubs} river complete the board, giving Sekularac a queen-high straight to eliminate Katz.
