Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

After an open to 700 and several calls, Joao Simao made it 4,500 in the small blind. The big blind potted to 16,300 and the opener called, as did Simao, leaving himself just under 5,000 back. The flop came {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Spades} and Simao jammed. The big blind called and the third player mucked.

Joao Simao: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

It wasn't much of a sweat for Simao, although the {7-Diamonds} did make it possible for his opponent to boat up. The river was the {j-Clubs}, though.

Foxen Bluffs Some Off Before Break

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Heads up on a {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop, Alex Foxen bet 2,300 from middle position after an opponent a couple of seats to his right checked. That player called and the turn brought a {2-Clubs} and two checks. The river was an {8-Clubs} and the first player checked. Foxen bet 5,600 and received a call.

"King high," he announced, dropping the {k-Diamonds} onto the felt.

His opponent showed {a-}{a-}{5-}{4-} and took down the pot.

Players are now on break for 15 minutes.

Jeff Lisandro bet 1,000 after two checks on {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Kahle Burns made it 4,200 in the small blind and Lisandro peeled to see the {6-Clubs}. Burns checked this time and called what looked to be 9,500. On the {2-Spades} river, Lisandro bet 25,000. Burns folded what he said was top set and Lisandro showed {a-}{10-}{7-} but kept his other card hidden.

Blockers Don't Work for Livingston

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

On a board of {q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}, Michael Song bet 4,000 out of the big blind and Matt Livingston made it 12,300 from middle position. Song called and the river was a {4-Hearts}, with both players checking.

"I have the nuts," Song said, showing {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Livingston smiled and dropped {9-}{9-} onto the felt before mucking.
