Wong Doubles Through Shack-Harris

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante
Jerry Wong
Jerry Wong

Action folded to Brandon Shack-Harris on the button and he raised to 350,000. Jerry Wong three-bet the pot from the small blind, Shack-Harris announced a pot-sized four-bet, and Wong called to put himself at risk for a total of 1,845,000.

Brandon Shack-Harris: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Jerry Wong: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Shack-Harris had the best of it with his aces and Wong needed help from the deck to survive. Although Shack-Harris extended his lead when he made trips on the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, the {K-Diamonds} turn gave Wong a flush draw. Even though it didn't come in, the final card was the {K-Spades} to give Wong trip kings for the double-up.

"I need a shower," said Wong as the dealer verified the stacks before pushing the pot Wong's way.

Anson Tsang Eliminated in 10th Place ($67,210)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
Anson Tsang
Anson Tsang

Scott Bohlman raised to 175,000 from the hijack, Brandon Shack-Harris called from the button, Anson Tsang called from the small blind, and Loren Klein called from the big blind.

The flop came {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Tsang bet 700,000. Klein folded, Bohlman shoved, Shack-Harris folded, and Tsang went into the tank. He turned his head to look at the action at the adjacent table; a substantial pot was in progress. After the hand had played out and it became apparent that a player had doubled, Tsang called to put himself at risk.

Scott Bohlman: {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Anson Tsang: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Tsang was ahead with his queens but Bohlman had lots of room to improve with a wrap. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn gave Bohlman the nut straight, and although the {Q-Hearts} river gave Tsang trips, it wasn't enough, and Bohlman took the pot to end Tsang's run in this event.

Hughes Scores Big Double Through Makarov

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Alexey Makarov raised to 260,000 and Alexey Makarov called in the big blind. On a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Makarov checked and Hughes bet 225,000 with 1,070,000 behind. Makarov opted to check-raise to 1,000,000 and Hughes moved all in, Makarov called.

Ryan Hughes: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Alexey Makarov: {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The {J-Hearts} turn and {K-Clubs} river were both blanks and Hughes doubled for 1,295,000 to take a big chunk out of Makarov's stack.

Leah Jams Into Lyndaker

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Mike Leah raised the pot to 280,000 first to act and Richard Lyndaker called out of the big blind. On the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Lyndaker checked and Leah bet 150,000 with 470,000 behind. Lyndaker check-raised to 315,000 and Leah leaned over to see the stack size of his opponent before moving all in.

Lyndaker checked his cards once more and folded.

"I had a two," Leah joked while raking in the pot.

More for Porter

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Rep Porter made it 225,000 to go from the small blind and Alexey Makarov called in the big blind. While the {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop was checked, Porter's bet on the {7-Clubs} turn forced a quick fold.

One hand later, Porter raised to 225,000 on the button and Ryan Hughes came along from the big blind. The {K-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and {Q-Diamonds} turn were checked. On the {8-Clubs} river neither player bet and Hughes announced a trey. Porter showed his {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a pair of queens and collected another pot.

Klein Calls Tsang's Bluff

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

With about 600,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{A-Spades}, Anson Tsang bet 350,000 from the big blind into his lone opponent, Loren Klein, who was under the gun. Klein went into the tank for a bit and ultimately called.

"You're good," said Tsang as he flipped over {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, keeping his other two hole cards face-down. Klein tabled {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, Tsang mucked, and Klein took the pot.

Hughes Wins Small Pot

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

First to act, Richard Lyndaker opened the action with a raise to 160,000 and Ryan Hughes defended his big blind. On a {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop, Hughes checked and called a bet worth 135,000. The {9-Hearts} turn and {4-Diamonds} river ended up being checked through and Hughes tabled {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for two pair, tens and nines, which scooped the pot.
