Volpe Rivers a Flush

Level 13 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Paul Volpe raised to 72,000 from early position and received three callers in Mikita Badziakouski, Jason Mercier, and Manig Loeser. The flop came {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} and the action checked around to the {8-Spades} on the turn.

Mercier led out for 156,000 from the small blind and Loeser tossed his big blind hand to the muck. Volpe made the call and Badziakouski let the two players fight it out.

The river brought the {5-Spades} and Mercier slowed down with a check. Volpe pushed in a bet of 230,000 and Mercier tanked for a minute before calling. Volpe flipped over {a-Spades}{9-Spades} for the nut flush and Mercier flung his cards to the muck.

Level 13 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

We didn't manage to get the action, but with a board of {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} out between Bryn Kenney and Jake Schindler, the dealer was counting out a double for Kenney.

Schindler held {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} but they had been cracked by the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} of Kenney. Kenney now has close to three million in chips.

Sontheimer Loses a Bunch then Doubles Up

Level 13 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The board read {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Steffen Sontheimer check-called a bet of 110,000 from Andreas Eiler. The river brought the {q-Clubs} and Sontheimer checked again. Eiler announced all in, putting Sontheimer at risk for his last 330,000 but he chose to quickly muck his cards.

In the next hand, the action folded around to Sontheimer in the small blind who shipped all in for his last 325,000. Jan-Eric Schwippert looked down at his cards and instantly called. Sontheimer turned over a premium holding of {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} but Schwippert woke up with {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} in the big blind.

The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and suddenly the roles were reversed. Sontheimer took the lead with a pair of aces and wouldn't look back with the {j-Spades} and {8-Hearts} completing the board. Sontheimer got a full double up just prior to another 15-minute break.
