Martini Calls it Wrong

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Adam Owen: {x-}{x-}/{3-}{4-}{k-}{7-}/{x-}
Julien Martini: {x-}{x-}/{4-}{7-}{a-}{6-}/{x-}

Adam Owen bet on fourth street only to be called by Julien Martini. On fifth street, Martini was first to act and he bet. Owen called. Martini bet again on sixth street and Owen called again.

On seventh street, Martini bet one more time. Owen called again.

"Queen," Martini said, showing {A-}{9-}{q-}. But he didn't have a queen. He had a nine low. Owen showed his {10-}{9-}{2-}, but that's when the dealer realized that Martini had a nine, and not a queen.

"I'm sorry!" Martini said immediately, realizing his mistake. "I thought that was a seven," he said pointing to the nine.

Owen frustratedly mucked his hand, but accepted Martini's apology, saying that he's done the same before as well.
