Cernuto Eliminated

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
John Cernuto
John Cernuto

We got to the table with John Cernuto all in against Ylon Schwartz. By seventh street Schwartz had already made a {9-}{6-}{5-}{2-}{a-} and had Cernuto drawing dead, as he could only hope to make a nine-seven. To add insult to injury, Cernuto wound up making a {9-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{a-} but was eliminated.

Evelyn Pulls Good on Seventh to Double

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Scott Evelyn moved all in on third street and he was called by Jeanne David.

Jeanne David: {3-}{8-}/{4-}
Scott Evelyn: {10-}{3-}/{5-}

David was ahead to start with a draw to an eight low while Evelyn had a draw to a ten low. Here's how their board rounded out:

Jeanne David: {3-}{8-}/{4-}{7-}{8-}{9-}/{6-}
Scott Evelyn: {10-}{3-}/{5-}{4-}{J-}{2-}/{8-}

David made an eight-seven low by seventh street and that meant that Evelyn had a full sweat. He peeled his last card and revealed an {8-} and that allowed him to double up with an eight-five low.

Jean Makes a Seventy-Six to Scoop Massive Pot

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Benoit Jean: {x-}{x-}/{7-}{A-}{Q-}{7-}/{x-}
Julien Martini: {x-}{x-}/{7-}{3-}{6-}{10-}/{x-}
Scott Silverman: {x-}{x-}/{A-}{8-}{A-}{K-}/{x-}

Action checked around to Benoit Jean on seventh street and he put a bet out into a pot that had over 100,000 chips already in it. Martini called and Scott Silverman called behind.

Jean showed down his {6-}{4-}{3-} and that gave him a seventy-six low. Martini mucked his hand, but Silverman was still taking his time putting together a call. Eventually, he turned up his {5-}{4-}{2-} but it was no good as that only gave him an eighty-five low. So with that, Jean scooped the massive pot to put him near 200,000 chips.

Urbanovich Doubles Through Taylor

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Dzmitry Urbanovich
Dzmitry Urbanovich

Dzmitry Urbanovich was all in for right around 20,000 on third street and Thomas Taylor called, putting him at risk. Urbanovich was holding {4-}{5-}{3-} while Taylor held {7-}{3-}{A-}. Here's how their board ran out:

Dzmitry Urbanovich: {4-}{5-}{3-}{2-}{3-}{10-}/{6-}
Thomas Taylor: {7-}{3-}{A-}{J-}{9-}{10-}/{2-}

Taylor drew into a nine-seven perfect, but Urbanovich pulled a six on seventh street to complete a six low to the deuce. That would allow him to double up to right around 45,000 chips.

Daubert Eliminated by Montgomery

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Kyle Montgomery completed and Thomas Taylor raised. Montgomery called. The pair checked both fourth and fifth street. Taylor check-called sixth and seventh street.

Kyle Montgomery: {x-}{x-} / {8-}{9-}{8-}{a-} / {x-}
Thomas Taylor: {x-}{x-} / {5-}{k-}{j-}{6-} / {x-}

Montgomery showed {2-}{4-}{j-} and took down the pot.

Then, on the very next hand, Montgomery got it in with short stack Thomas Daubert.

Kyle Montgomery: {a-}{4-} / {2-}{2-}{j-}{10-} / {x-}
Thomas Daubert: {6-}{a-} / {8-}{7-}{q-}{k-} / {x-}

They were two ragged looking boards, with Montgomery just holding the lead with a jack-low. He improved to a ten-eight after he picked up an {8-} and Daubert was drawing live, with any two, three, four, five or nine seeing him staying in the tournament.

Unfortunately, the {7-} paired him and he was eliminated.

Singer Chiping Up

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

David Singer: {x-}{x-}/{2-}{Q-}{6-}{7-}/{x-}
Katherine Fleck: {x-}{x-}/{4-}{5-}{Q-}{K-}/{x-}

Action was on Katherine Fleck on fifth street and she checked over to David Singer who threw out a bet. Fleck called. On sixth street, Singer took over the lead when Fleck drew a king. Singer bet and Fleck called.

On seventh street, Singer checked. Fleck checked to show her {7-}{3-}{4-} for a queen low, but Singer had her beat with {A-}{7-}{3-} for seventy-six low. That allowed Singer to take down the pot and chip up over 100,000 while Fleck dropped below the same mark.

Schwartz Falls to Mitseff

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ylon Schwartz: {x-}{x-}/{5-}{10-}{5-}
Jeff Mitseff: {x-}{x-}/{5-}{K-}{3-}

Picking up the action on fourth street, Ylon Schwartz bet and Jeff Mitseff called. On fifth street, Mitseff was first to act and he bet. Schwartz moved all in for a bit more and Mitseff called quickly. Schwartz was holding {2-}{8-} below while Mitseff held {8-}{7-}. Their board completed like so:

Ylon Schwartz: {8-}{2-}/{5-}{10-}{5-}{J-}/{7-}
Jeff Mitseff: {8-}{7-}/{5-}{K-}{3-}{A-}/{10-}

Mitseff completed a eight-seven low and that left Schwartz drawing dead. With that Schwartz was sent to the rail while Mitseff collected and chipped up to over 130,000 chips.
