Abdellatif on a Roll

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Jonathan Abdellatif
Jonathan Abdellatif

Jonathan Abdellatif is on a roll and looks seemingly unstoppable at the moment. There was already over 100,000 in the pot with a board reading {5-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} as Abdellatif put out a bet of 49,000 after his opponent had checked to him.

He was called and the {K-Spades} river completed the board. It was checked to Abdellatif, who declared all-in.

After a minute, his opponent gave up and chips were sent to Abdellatif who now has one of the biggest, if not the biggest, stack in the field.

Gupte Sends Echinard To the Rail

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Edouard Echinard moved all in for a stack of 77,000 and only Ashish Gupta made the call to create the following showdown:

Edouard Echinard: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Ashish Gupta: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

It was a typical flip situation, and up until the turn, the {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} board gave Echinard hopes of a double up, but a {9-Hearts} on the river gave the winning hand to Gupta with a set of nines and sent Echinard on his way to the cashier.

Abdellatif Running Hot

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Jonathan Abdellatif
Jonathan Abdellatif

On a flop showing {q-Spades}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}, with already around 70,000 in the middle, Jonathan Abdellatif and his opponent checked.

The {3-Spades} came on the turn and Abdellatif check-called his opponent's bet for 24,000. The river fell a {5-Clubs} and both players checked again. Abdellatif tabled {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for the nut flush and his opponent mucked his hand.

Two hands later, Abdellatif was all-in with {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} against the same opponent who was holding a lower pair, with {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The board ran out {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Abdellatif, who had a stack of 321,000, busted his opponent from the tournament.

Ryan Hall raised from the button to 12,000 and the big blind moved all in. Hall called with lightning speed and opened up {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} just as fast.

His opponent showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Hall was well ahead and in perfect shape to take down the hand. The dealer laid down a {6-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{4-Hearts} board and Hall scooped up the pot to propel him over the half-million chip mark.

Daniel Strelitz
Daniel Strelitz

Daniel Strelitz had a big river decision to make when the board read {5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. His opponent had put Strelitz effectively all-in and the decision was on him.

Strelitz was holding {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and had a full house. He ended up making the call, but he saw the bad news that he was up against the {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} of Barry Hutter.
