Zhang Gets a Double

Level 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

It was a three-handed pot on the flop, with a board reading {3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Everyone checked and the dealer laid a {6-Diamonds} on the turn.

There was a lead of 700 and a call and Sihao Zhang shoved over the top for 3,875. He was called and his {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} was ahead of his opponent's {a-}{7-}. The {10-Hearts} river improved Zhang's hand to two pair and he got more than a double up.

Roberts on the Up

Level 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

Lauren Roberts has had a very productive start to the day, more than tripling up in the first few hours. This is despite losing a pot just now.

Roberts had opened the betting to 375 and only the small blind gave her any action. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Roberts continued for 650, which was check-called.

The turn brought a fourth diamond with the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked. The final card was a {7-Diamonds} and Roberts' opponent bet 1,800 into the pot. Roberts didn't need long to decide, passing quickly but showing {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} in the process.
