Korenev Running Better Today Than Yesterday

Level 6 : 100/200, 50 ante

Roman Korenev just could not win a race yesterday and still managed to grind to the very end of the day. Today has been going somewhat different, though, as he starts to build a stack after winning a few hands.

There was a short stack that moved all in for around 4,000 and Korenev made the call. The players then turned over their hands and Korenev's opponent would be at risk.

Roman Korenev: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Korenev's king kicker took down the pot.

Day 1b of this event has proven to be very popular and we have already surpassed the total number of entrants that took part yesterday. Late registration is open until 9:15 and reentries are unlimited too, so the Pavillion room is likely to be very busy today.

Martin Moves All In on the Turn

Level 5 : 75/150, 25 ante

The board read {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, the action was on Jeremy Martin who moved all in for 4,375 into a pot around 4,500 and his opponent snap-called.

His opponent turned over {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} for two pair and Martin showed {5-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a full house. The river came down the {a-Clubs} and Martin's full house took down the pot.

Tsinis Down

Level 5 : 75/150, 25 ante

After a very strong start, Arkadiy Tsinis appears to have had a difficult run of late.

Most recently he lost a medium sized pot after he kicked things off with a 500 open and got two calls behind, before the small blind three-bet to 2,300. Only Tsinis called and the dealer put {3-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{9-Spades} out on the flop. There was a 2,000 continuation and Tsinis opted to fold, leaving him with half what he started today with.
