Montgomery Building a Big Stack

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Scott Montgomery in an earlier event

Action folded to Scott Montgomery and he raised to 3,200 from middle position. The player in the big blind was the only caller.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and the big blind checked. Montgomery bet 3,500, the big blind folded, and Montgomery took the pot. The former November Niner appears to be the current chip leader by a fair margin.

Dentale Gets a River Fold

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

There were about 7,000 chips already in the middle and the board read {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} when we got to the table. Both blinds checked and Mike Dentale bet 3,000 from early position. The next player to act called and the blinds folded.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and both players checked.

The {10-Diamonds} fell on the river and Dentale moved a stack of T-1,000 chips forward. His opponent asked the dealer to verify the bet and he cut the stack out to clearly show 13,000 chips. After some consideration, he folded, and Dentale took the pot.
