Vornicu Turns a Set

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

With about 10,000 already in the middle on a flop of {J-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} the small blind bet 4,500, the big blind folded, and Valentin Vornicu called from middle position.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and the small blind checked. Vornicu bet 8,000, the small blind shoved, and Vornicu quickly called to put himself at risk.

Valentin Vornicu: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Small blind: {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Vornicu had a lock on the pot with his set, leaving the small blind drawing dead. After the final card fell, the dealer pushed the pot to Vornicu for a full double-up.

Harder Doubles Up

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

With about 10,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{7-Clubs}{A-Spades}, the player in the big blind bet 3,000, Christian Harder called from early position, and the hijack folded.

The {4-Spades} fell on the river and the big blind moved a stack of T-1,000 chips forward, putting Harder to a decision for his remaining 9,200. He quickly called and tabled {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for kings full to win the pot and double up.
