Tom McCormick raised from under the gun and only Joao Viera was interested and made the call.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Vieira check-raised a bet from McCormick. The latter called and the turn fell a {a-Hearts}. This time, Vieira check-called another bet from McCormick.

The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Vieira check-folded after McCormick bet once more. When we asked what his favorite moment of the WSOP has been so far, Vieira told us without any hesitation, "The first gold bracelet in Vegas for a Portuguese player and hearing national anthem in Brasilia room!".

Diogo Veiga won Event #54:$3,000 No-Limit Hold'em big blind antes and became Portugal’s third gold bracelet winner of all time and first to win a bracelet in Las Vegas.
