Kuo Loses Two in a Row

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Kitty Kuo raised to 2,300 from under the gun and was called by the hijack and the defending champion, Christopher Brammer in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs} and both Brammer and Kuo checked. The hijack bet 5,000 and only Kuo called.

The turn brought them the {8-Hearts} and Kuo check-folded to the 10,000 continuation-bet of her opponent.

Two hands later, the player in late position raised to 2,000 and Jeremy Ausmus shoved from the hijack. Action folded to Kuo in the small blind who also shoved with the bigger stack. The initial raiser folded.

Jeremy Ausmus: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Kitty Kuo: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} to provide a straight draw for Kuo on the turn but to not complete on the river and Ausmus doubled up for the 16,500 he had in front of him.

Saout Takes One Out

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The board read {k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and there was one player all in already and Antoine Saout had a bet of 3,000 in front of him. Mike Watson raised to 9,000 and, after a few seconds, Saout responded with a shove, having Watson covered. Watson folded instantly.

The board was completed with the {4-Diamonds} and Saout took the whole pot as the other player got up immediately after seeing Saout's cards, which were unfortunately unknown as the dealer wiped the whole board and hole cards immediately.

JC Tran: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Big blind: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The flop came {10-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Hearts} to give Tran a set of sevens and his opponent a straight draw.
