Christoph Vogelsang raised to 1,150 from under the gun and was called by Gary Hasson in the cutoff and Steffen Sontheimer on the button.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and they all checked through it to the {5-Hearts} on the turn. Vogelsang bet 3,800 and only Hasson called.

The river completed the board with the {6-Spades}, Vogelsang bet 7,700, and Hasson called again without any hesitation. Vogelsang tabled {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the turned two pair, but was beaten by Hasson who showed {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for the flopped set of deuces to take the pot.

Vogelsang was left behind with 6,350 and was busted shortly after.

Ilani Eliminated

Level 8 : 300/600, 100 ante

Ran Ilani has just been eliminated in the previous level and was kind enough to recount what had happened.

The player in the hijack raised to 1,500 and Ilani three-bet to 4,700 from the button. The initial raiser called.

They both checked through the {9-}{7-}{3-} flop to the {q-} on the turn. The hijack check-shoved on Ilani's bet of 5,000. Ilani called for the 20,000 or so he still had behind.

Ran Ilani: {k-}{q-}
Hijack: {Q-}{J-}

The river completed the board with the {j-} to take Ilani out of the tournament.

Verhaaf Wins a Bit Back

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

The player in the hijack raised to 800 and only Michael Verhaaf called in the small blind.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} on which both players checked to the {3-Clubs} on the turn. Verhaaf now bet 1,600 and his opponent folded immediately.

Players are being moved all the time as the tournament organization keeps opening new tables and mixing the late entries with the next big blinds of other tables. Verhaaf is now seated at a new table which also includes Sam Cohen, Stefan Schillhabel, Darryll Fish, and Aaron Duczak,

Mustapha Kanit raised to 700 from early position and Ghattas Kortas three-bet to 2,500 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Kanit who called.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Kanit check-called the 2,300 continuation-bet of Kortas.

The turn brought them the {10-Clubs} and again, Kanit check-called the 5,700 bet of Kortas.

The {4-Hearts} on the river completed the board. Kanit checked for the last time. Kortas shoved and Kanit asked for a count. The dealer counted out Kortas' stack and confirmed Kortas had 17,225 in front of him and had Kanit covered. Kanit considered all his options and then threw in a chip for the call.

Kortas tabled {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for the rivered straight to eliminate Kanit as he held {j-}{j-} for an overpair.
