Lappas' Jacks Hold

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Hold'em

Charalampos Lappas was all in preflop, facing off against Alexander Ziskin. Lappas was ahead with {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} versus {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and he managed to avoid an ace on the {7-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Spades}{J-Spades} with a jack on the river confirming his victory.

Lappas and Bronshtein Chop it Up

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Hold'em

Charalampos Lappas open-jammed for 77,000 from late position and Yuval Bronshtein put him at risk, calling on the button.

Charalampos Lappas: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Yuval Bronshtein: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Lappas was in a dominating position but a {j-Spades}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts} runout gave them both Broadway and they chopped the blinds and antes.

Double for Laidlaw

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

PLO

Jordan Polk raised to 10,000 and Daniel Laidlaw called in the big blind. Laidlaw led out the maximum when the {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} rolled out, having just 26,500 back. Polk set him all in and Laidlaw called his last 4,500.

Laidlaw: {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Polk: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Laidlaw flopped a wrap and he binked right on the {7-Diamonds} turn. Polk spiked a flush draw but the {7-Clubs} river stayed with Laidlaw who doubled to 75,000.

Lenter Takes Care of Inasaki

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Hold'em

Yohei Inasaki shoved 67,000 in the cutoff and Scott Lenter called on the button, holding {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Inasaki had live cards with {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} but he failed to connect to the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{10-Clubs} board and Lenter scooped his stack.

Gallagher Fires a Cold Four-Bet

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Hold'em

Tony Hartmann made it 8,500 on the button and Kyle Ho reraised in the small blind, making it 21,000. The action paused at John Gallagher who eventually pulled off a cold four-bet for 46,000. Both Hartmann and Ho quickly released their hands.

Ho Cracks Turner's Aces

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Hold'em

Kyle Ho opened to 8,000 from middle position and called off a 40,000 three-bet shove from Jon Turner on the button.

Jon Turner: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Kyle Ho: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Turner was in great shape to double but a king on a {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop gave Ho some outs. The {q-Clubs} on the turn was one of them and the {j-Clubs} was of no help on the river, eliminating Turner in 36th place.

Hendrix Doubles with Jacks

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Hold'em

We arrived when the dealer was verifying Adam Hendrix' stack and it became apparent that he just doubled through Kyle Ho in what looked like a preflop contest in which Hendrix presumably three-bet shoved over a raise from early position. Ho's hand was already in the muck by the time we arrived. He couldn't beat Hendrix's {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, good for the second nuts as the {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} board rolled out.

Hendrix had 78,900 in his stack and took a large bite into Ho's stack, doubling to 166,300.

Bronshtein Jams on Wang

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Hold'em

Michael Wang was in the small blind, check-calling 10,500 from hijack Yuval Bronshtein on the {7-Spades}{A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop. Bronshtein barrelled the {Q-Clubs} turn and Wang paid another 15,000. Wang changed his strategy when the {K-Diamonds} river hit the felt, leading with a bet. It looked like 42,000 but no count was needed as Bronshtein instantly shoved, prompting a fast fold from Wang.
