Emmett Takes Some Back

Level 3 : 150/300, 300 ante
Randall Emmett
Randall Emmett

Randall Emmett's table is by far the loudest in the room, just like his entree was during the Main Event a week ago. Emmett seems to be having the time of his life on "the easiest table in the room".

Emmett is seated with the likes of Dominik Nitsche, Alex Foxen, Jonathan Little and Max Silver and is enjoying every single moment of it, so it seems.

Alex Foxen raised to 1,200 from the cutoff and when it folded around to Emmett in the big blind he called. When Emmett checked on the {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board Foxen threw out a bet of 1,100.

"Stop, please, stop!"

Emmett threw in enough to call the bet and the {4-Clubs} turn came down and both players slowed down and checked.

"See. That's what I thought!"

They also checked on the {7-Spades} river. Emmett showed {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and that was more than enough to take down the pot.

Simao Takes From Pardo Dominguez

Level 3 : 150/300, 300 ante
Joao Simao from a previous event
Joao Simao from a previous event

There was 2,000 in the pot and the flop was {4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Joao Simao and his opponent Juan Pardo Dominguez both checked to see the {J-Hearts} turn come down.

On this board, it was Simao who lead out with a bet of 1,300 and Pardo Dominguez called him.

They both checked on the {9-Spades} river and Simao showed {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} to take down the small pot with a straight.

A lot of players are still joining the field with registration open until the start of Day 2. A couple of names that recently joined include Mikita Badziakouski, Nick Petrangelo, David Peters and Martin Finger.

Kitai Kicks into Action

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Davidi Kitai has just recently taken his seat in the event and wasted no time in getting into the action.

The board was down {7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds} when Kitai checked in the big blind. His opponent bet 4,500 from the button and Kitai decided to raise to 16,200. The player gave himself a minute to think before he tapped the table, folded his hand and conceded the pot to the Belgian Kitai.
