Greenwood Sends Kempe to the Rail

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Sam Greenwood had to fold against Timothy Adams on the money bubble not long ago and was down to 200,000. But he has been able to improve since then, and his most recent hand caused an elimination.

Greenwood and Rainer Kempe got their stacks into the middle preflop, and it was the latter at risk.

Sam Greenwood: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Rainer Kempe: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Board: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

Kempe saw an ace on the flop for top pair, but Greenwood hit a set, and by the river, he improved to a full house which resulted in Kempe exiting the event along with $16,911.

Jacobson to the Rail With Pocket Aces

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

There was well over 120,000 in the middle already and the flop was {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. Martin Jacobson bet 95,000 after Sam Greenwood had checked to him. Greenwood called to see the turn.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Greenwood checked to Jacobson again. After a short while, Jacobson threw in a pile of chips totaling 165,000. Greenwood took his time to think things through before he called again.

The river was the {3-Diamonds} and Greenwood checked for the third time to Jacobson. This time all of Jacobson's chips were wagered and Greenwood called within a second, immediately tabling {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a full house.

Jacobson opened up {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and said goodbye to the table, wishing them good luck.

Teltscher Doubles With a Set

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Mark Teltscher
Mark Teltscher

Mark Teltscher started the day as one of the big stacks and has seen his chip stack swing up and down throughout the levels, however, he has just secured a double.

Ryan Goindoo had him covered, and the two players got all their chips into the middle preflop.

Ryan Goindoo: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Mark Teltscher: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Board: {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}

"That's a bad card," said Teltscher when he saw the king in the window appear. But a jack appeared straight afterward and gave him a set. Goindoo had flopped top two pair when the queen also hit, and he had outs but was unable to hit them as Teltscher secured a double-up.

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Vicent Bosca Ramon was all in for his final 100,000 and Jan-Eric Schwippert put him at risk by calling the all-in bet.

Adams Runs into Kings to Bust

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Timothy Adams

Jason Mangold raised to 30,000 from under the gun and Jan-Eric Schwippert three-bet on the button to 90,000. The action was on Timothy Adams in the big blind after Scott Margereson had folded the small blind and he moved all in for around 390,000.

Mangold needed time to think, and after a couple of minutes, he apologized to the table before he made the fold. Schwippert quickly double-checked his hand and called Adams' all in.

Jan-Eric Schwippert: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Timothy Adams: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Board: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

"Yes!" exclaimed Mangold as he lept from his chair as the hole cards were turned over and later revealed to the table he folded pocket queens.

Schwippert hit a set on the flop and secured the pot with a flush on the river to seal Adams' fate. The latter takes away
$22,035 for his efforts.
