The action was complete and three players were all-in when we got to the table: Loni Harwood in the big blind, Aaron Mermelstein, in early position, and a third player in the cutoff. Mermelstein had the largest stack by a wide margin.

Harwood and Mermelstein were tied for the lead, but that changed when the flop came to give Mermelstein the nut-flush draw. The on the turn was no help to anyone but the river meant the entire pot belonged to Mermelstein.

Friedman Doubles

The action was complete, the cards were on their backs, and the full board was out when we got to the table. Perry Friedman had face-up in front of him and his opponent was showing . Friedman told us that he'd opened to 2,600 preflop, his opponent three-bet to 8,000, Friedman shoved, and his opponent called to put him at risk. They tabled their hands and although Friedman saw that his ace was dominated, he hit his eight on the river for the double-up.
