Holz Bests Smith With River Raise

Talal Shakerchi opened to 26,000 and Fedor Holz three-bet to 80,000 from the cutoff. Dan Smith defended his big blind and Shakerchi called.

The three players checked the {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{a-Spades}{7-Spades} flop and turn and the river brought the {2-Spades}. Smith bet 120,000 and Shakerchi quickly folded. Holz used up a time extension before raising to 550,000.

Smith used a time extension with barely ten seconds on the clock to give him time to think. He eventually announced fold and Holz took down the pot.
