Salomon Check-Raises Chidwick

Level 7 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick opened from the gun, Christoph Vogelsang called from the small blind, and Rick Salomon called from the big blind.

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and action checked to Chidwick who bet 105,000. Both Vogelsang and Salomon called, the {3-Clubs} turn fell, and action checked to Chidwick again. He bet 200,000 this time, Vogelsang folded, Salomon clicked it back to 400,000, and Chidwick folded.

Level 7 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Cary Katz opened to 100,000 from early position and was called by Nick Petrangelo on the button and Erik Seidel in the big blind. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Seidel checked to Katz who continued for 300,000. Petrangelo folded but Seidel called.

The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and both players checked to the {j-Diamonds} on the river. Seidel led out for 400,000 and Katz thought about it for a moment and then called. Seidel tabled {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and it proved to be good enough to win the pot.

Schindler Chips Up After Dinner

Level 7 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

With more than 800,000 already in the middle and the heads-up flop reading {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Jake Schindler bet 600,000 out of the big blind and Steffen Sontheimer sent his cards into the muck from the button.

In the very next hand, Sontheimer raised to 100,000 and Schindler called in the small blind. Daniel Negreanu tossed in the extra chips in the big blind. The {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop was checked through and the {6-Diamonds} appeared on the turn. Schindler made it 125,000 to go, which forced a fold from Negreanu and resulted in a call by Sontheimer.

The {J-Diamonds} river completed the board and Schindler bet 750,000. Sontheimer once more released his cards and let go in the second hand in a row.

One for Holz and Bonomo

Level 7 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Fedor Holz raised it up to 90,000 first to act and was called by Dominik Nitsche from two seats over and Isaac Haxton in the big blind. The trio checked the {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop and the {9-Clubs} on the turn brought a check from Haxton. Holz continued for 175,000 and that forced two quick folds.

One hand later, Justin Bonomo opened the action from the cutoff with a raise to 95,000. Haxton in the small blind and Holz in the big blind called and checked the {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop. Bonomo's continuation bet had barely hit the table when both Haxton and Holz had already released their cards into the muck.

Chidwick Can't Catch a Flush

Level 7 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The flop read {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and both Stephen Chidwick in the big blind and David Einhorn in middle position put 525,000 in the middle before the turn card was dealt.

On the {6-Diamonds} turn, Chidwick led out for 800,000 and Einhorn made the call. The {2-Spades} completed the board and Chidwick opted to check. Einhorn checked behind and Chidwick rolled over {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a missed flush draw and a pair of deuces. Einhorn tabled {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for two pair and scooped the pot as his rail gave a fair celebration.

Kenney Takes it on the River

Level 7 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

After defending his big blind against a button raise by Jake Schindler, Bryn Kenney checked the {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop and Schindler checked behind to see the {8-Spades} on the turn. Kenney made it 145,000 to go and Schindler called before the {8-Clubs} fell on the river.

Kenney now made it 445,000 to go and that won the pot without further resistance.

The River Favors Smith

Level 6 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

The action folded to Adrian Mateos in the small blind who raised it up to 90,000. Dan Smith called in the big blind and the flop came {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Mateos led out for 75,000, Smith raised to 250,000, and Mateos called.

The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and Mateos check-called a bet of 500,000 from Smith. Mateos checked the {4-Spades} on the river as well and Smith fired another 1,250,000. Mateos thought for a moment and then made the call. Smith turned over {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for two pair on the river and Mateos sent his cards to the muck.

Here is a look at the rest of the chip counts from Table 438 and Table 447 as players head on their dinner break.
