Salomon and Shakerchi in Battle of the Blinds

Level 5 : 120,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Rick Salomon and Talal Shakerchi were in the small and big blinds, respectively, and the pair both put 400,000 in preflop and the flop came {4-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Salomon bet 700,000 and Shakerchi called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs}. Salomon bet 1,200,000 and Shakerchi folded.

"Nice bluff," said Shakerchi, "I'm almost certain I had the best hand."

Haxton Out-Kicks Bonomo

Level 5 : 120,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Justin Bonomo opened to 60,000 from under the gun and Isaac Haxton three-bet to 210,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Bonomo called to go heads-up to a flop of {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Bonomo checked and Haxton checked behind. The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and Bonomo led out for 200,000. Haxton called and the {9-Hearts} landed on the river.

Bonomo fired another 300,000 and Haxton called before his time expired. Bonomo flipped over {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} but Haxton revealed the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for a better kicker and dragged in the pot.

Mateos Continues to Extend His Lead

From the cutoff, Dominik Nitsche opened to 72,000. Adrian Mateos called in the big blind.

The flop was {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Mateos checked. Nitsche put out a bet of 100,000 and Mateos called.

Both players checked on the {5-Clubs} turn and the {3-Hearts} was the river. There, Mateos led out with a bet of 575,000 and Nitsche took his time before calling. Mateos showed down his {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and that would earn him the pot with two pair.

Christoph Vogelsang opened to 65,000 from under the gun and Talal Shakerchi called in the cutoff. Jason Koon three-bet to 265,000 from the button.

2012 Big One for One Drop champion Antonio Esfandiari then four-bet to 1,025,000 from the big blind and both Vogelsang and Shakerchi got out of the way.

Koon used up one of his time extensions before five-betting all in for 3,870,000, covering Esfandiari. Esfandiari called and was all in.

Kenney Pays Off Chidwick

Bryn Kenney and Stephen Chidwick both checked a {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop and turn, and the {5-Hearts} river was dealt.

Kenney checked and Chidwick bet 170,000. Kenney thought before calling. Chidwick turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for a flush and took down the pot.

Shakerchi is Hitting Everything

Antonio Esfandiari opened from the cutoff and Talal Shakerchi called from the big blind. On a flop of {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}, Shakerchi checked to Esfandiari who continued for 105,000. Shakerchi called and the {j-Spades} rolled off on the turn.

Shakerchi checked again and Esfandiari fired another 206,000 into the pot. Shakerchi stuck around to see the {10-Clubs} hit the river. Both players checked this time and Shakerchi turned over {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a flush. Esfandiari shook his head and his cards went into the muck.

Holz Folds to Bonomo Check-Raise

Bonomo thought before check-raising to 1,300,000. Holz used up two time extensions before folding.

No Pair No Call for Negreanu

Seteffen Sontheimer opened from the cutoff with a raise to 57,000. Action folded around to the blinds where Daniel Negreanu three-bet, making it 275,000 from the small blind. Sontheimer called.

The flop was {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Negreanu checked. Sontheimer put out a bet of 225,000 and Negreanu quickly folded.

"No pair no call," Negreanu said. "If I had a pair though..."

Negreanu made a motion with his arms, indicating he would've put money in the pot, and quickly.

"So disciplined," Sontheimer said laughing.
