Smith Uses an Extension then Bets River

Nick Petrangelo raised to 910,000 in the small blind and Dan Smith called in the big blind. Petrangelo bet 1.6 million on {8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Smith called, bringing the {4-Diamonds}. Petrangelo slowed down with a check and Smith agreed to a free card, so the {10-Spades} hit. Petrangelo checked again and Smith used a time extension before betting 2.5 million. Petrangelo quickly folded.

Salomon Gets Value from Two Pair

Level 15 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

Rick Salomon raised to 600,000 in the cutoff and Phil Ivey called from the big blind. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Ivey checked-called a bet of 600,000 from Salomon.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and Ivey checked again. Salomon fired another 1,000,000 but Ivey continued to call. The river brought the {7-Hearts} and Ivey checked one more time. Salomon moved in a bet of 1,700,000 and Ivey paid him off before his time expired. Salomon flipped over {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for two pair and Ivey's cards hit the muck.

Petrangelo Scoops One; Break With 11 Left

Level 14 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo raised to 450,000 and Christoph Vogelsang called on the button. Both players checked the {J-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop and Petrangelo check-called a bet of 550,000 on the {Q-Diamonds} turn. The {Q-Clubs} river was checked through and Petrangelo won the pot with the {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} for queens and jacks.

Right after the hand, the remaining players were sent into a 15-minute break and the chip counts can be found below.

Ivey Wins a Big One with Aces

Phil Ivey raised to 500,000 from the cutoff and Justin Bonomo called on the button. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Ivey led out for another 500,000. Bonomo called and the {q-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Ivey fired another 1,400,000 but still couldn't shake Bonomo as he called to see the {9-Diamonds} on the river. Ivey checked with the flush draw coming in and Bonomo announced all in, putting Ivey to the test for his remaining 5,170,000 chips.

After nearly two minutes, Ivey called with no more time extensions available and Bonomo turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Ivey made the correct call with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} and earned himself a big double up heading into the next break.

Vogelsang Spikes a Lucky Double

A raise to 450,000 by Nick Petrangelo in the cutoff was called by Christoph Vogelsang in the big blind and he checked the {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop. Petrangelo continued for 325,000 and Vogelsang forfeited yet another pot to drop all the way down to just 17 big blinds.

Holz raised the button to 450,000 and Vogelsang moved all in for 3.55 million in the small blind the next hand. Fellow short stack Cary Katz folded in the big blind and Holz snap-called.

Vogelsang was dominated but spiked a pair on the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop. The {2-Spades} on the turn left only three aces in the deck for Holz to deal the final blow, and the {9-Diamonds} river bricked off to let Vogelsang double.

Ivey Chips Up

Phil Ivey opened to 500,000 in the cutoff and Byron Kaverman called in the big blind. The flop came {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Kaverman check-called a bet of 500,000 from Ivey.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and both players checked to the {4-Spades} on the river. Kaverman checked again and Ivey checked behind. Kaverman turned over {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs} while Ivey showed {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} to take the pot.

Holz Takes From Vogelsang

Fedor Holz raised to 450,000 from the hijack and Christoph Vogelsang called in the cutoff. There was no betting action on the {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop and Holz also checked the {A-Diamonds} turn, Vogelsang checked back. The {Q-Spades} fell on the river and Holz made it 500,000 to go. Vogelsang called and Holz turned over the {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} as winning hand to gain some ground again over on the feature table.

Bonomo Pressures Einhorn

Justin Bonomo made it 475,000 to go from the cutoff and David Einhorn three-bet to 1,500,000 in the big blind. Bonomo called and the flop came {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Einhorn led out for 2,000,000 and Bonomo continued to call.

The {q-Spades} landed on the turn and both players checked tot he {7-Clubs} on the river. Einhorn checked again and Bonomo slid in a bet large enough to put Einhorn all in for his last 5,565,000. Einhorn elected to not call and Bonomo dragged in another pot.

Petrangelo Fires Three Barrels Against Holz

Level 14 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo made it 500,000 to go on the button and Fedor Holz called in the big blind. The flop brought {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Holz checked, then called a bet of 425,000 by Petrangelo. After the {4-Diamonds} turn, Holz checked once more and faced a bet of 1.6 million by Petrangelo.

Holz called and the pot increased to more than 5 million, heading to the {4-Spades} river. Holz checked and Petrangelo emptied the clip with a third barrel worth 4.8 million. Holz folded and Petrangelo won the big pot without having to go into a showdown.
