Kanit Struggles to Get Paid
It was a rough start to the day for Mustapha Kanit, dropping to below 100,000 chips at one point, and another player on the table tried to make it a lot tougher. With a little over 20,000 in the middle, three players saw a flop of 
. The action checked to Kanit who bet 9,000 from middle position. Hyung Kim called directly to his left and the other player folded.
The turn was the 
and both players checked to the 
on the river. Kanit announced a bet of 24,000 and the dealer counted it out to verify. Kim thought for a couple of minutes and then pushed 14,000 into the middle. Kanit tabled 
for the winning hand but when the dealer asked Kim for an extra 10,000 chips to complete the call, there was some confusion.
Kim thought he heard Kanit say 14,000 when he bet but it was clear to the rest of the table that the bet was 24,000. Kim sat with his cards in front of him and would not put in the extra 10,000 chips. The floor was called to the table and after some discussion, Kim was ordered to put in the extra chips or be penalized. Kim finally paid the full amount and showed his 
before the next hand continued.
