Lewis fired out a bet of 2,000 on the {10-Spades} and Daniels called to see the {K-Clubs} river complete the board. Lewis threw in a 5,000 chip and Daniels had to think about for a moment. The river came down the {6-Diamonds} and Metaal fired out a massive bet of 22,650. Myers threw his cards in the muck and Metaal announced, "I don't have aces!" as he turned up {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for quad cowboys.

Banfield's Hopes Still Alive

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Down to his last 12,975, Jason Banfield got the remainder of his stack in after the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} flop and turned over {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}, facing one overcard of his table neighbor with {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}. The {10-Clubs} turn and {9-Hearts} river were no threat and Banfield doubled.

Nguyen Chipping Up

Level 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

It has been all Chris Fraser and Matt Berkey here on Day 1 in the Amazon Gold section, but another player is chipping up. Truyen Nguyen has flown a bit under the radar but he has quietly amassed one of the largest stacks in the room.

Nguyen is now playing about 220,000 and will look to finish strong with less than one level of play left in the night.
