Mach Cuts Mancuso From Main Event

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The board read {2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Jan Mach checked in early position before Joshua Mancuso was all-in for 47,800 in mid-position. Mach was in the tank and Ralph Massey was kind enough to tell the live reporting team what had happened:

"Mach raised to 4,500 and was called by Mancuso and another player. The flop came and Mach bet another 8,700. Mancuso raised to 22,000 and was called by both of his opponents. The turn was a check by Mach and the all-in for 47,800. The other player folded."

Mach confirmed the amount again and then called.

Joshua Mancuso: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Jan Mach: {K-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Mancuso held ace-high and was looking for another club to complete his flush draw. Mach was ahead though as he had an overpair.

The river completed the board with the {K-Spades} to eliminate Mancuso from the Main Event and to give Mach a good start for Day 3.

Kerstetter Releases on the River

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

There was nearly 40,000 in the pot on a board showing {Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Jamie Kerstetter was first to act. She checked over to Robert Dunn, her only opponent, who checked behind.

The river was the {6-Diamonds} and Kerstetter checked again. Dunn thought for a few moments before he decided to put out a bet of 20,500, roughly half the pot.

Kerstetter cut the bet out from her stack and thought about it for about a minute before she decided to fold and wait for a better spot to commit her chips.

After the hand Kerstetter was left with just over 40,000 chips.

Leibovitz Moves Over Half a Million

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

A player in middle position raised and Kevin Boudreau called from late position. Gary Leibovitz re-raised out of the big blind and Boudreau called. They went heads up to the {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and Leibovitz bet 11,200 into a main pot of about 25,000.

Boudreau called and the dealer burned and turned the {j-Spades}. Leibovitz checked and Boudreau tossed out a bet of 27,600.

Leibovitz check-raised to 60,200 and Boudreau called. The river was the {5-Diamonds} and Leibovitz checked to Boudreau who bet 80,000. Leibotivz quickly called turning over {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a rivered straight and Boudreau showed {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for trip jacks before tossing his hand away.

"I thought you had a flush draw, I didn't think you had that" Leibovitz said as he dragged in the massive pot and moved over half a million.

Adam Geyer opened to 4,500, Jochum Weenink three-bet to 15,000 and Geyer called out of position. The flop was {Q-Spades}{Q-}{4-Spades} and Geyer check-called 12,000 from Weenink. On the {6-} turn, Weenink kept up the aggression with a bet of 18,000 and Geyer check-called another street.

The river was the {K-Spades} and Geyer, first to act, moved all in. Weenink had to make a decision for his final 60,000 and the Dutchman called it off without hesitation.

Geyer showed {5-}{5-} for two pair, Weenink tabled {A-Spades}{3-Spades} for the nut flush and doubled up.

Cooler Central

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Picking up the action on the river with the board reading {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, Michael Terhaar moved in a bet of around 50,000 with around 80,000 already in the pot. Sriharsha Doddapaneni shipped all in and Terhaar quickly called off his remaining stack.

Doddapaneni flipped over {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for quad sevens while Terhaar was forced to show {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for aces full of eights. It was a sick cooler for Terhaar who saw his Main Event dreams come to an end while Doddapaneni stacked a huge pot to start the day.

Unzueta Folds to Saeed

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

There were about 40,000 chips already in the pot and the board read {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} when we got to the table. The player in the small blind bet 18,000, Omar Saeed called from early position, and Bruna Unzueta called from the button.

The {3-Diamonds} fell on the river and the small blind checked. Saeed bet 37,000, sending Unzueta into the tank. She counted out her 40,200 remaining chips and eventually folded. The small bind folded, as well, and Saeed showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} as he took the pot.
