Feature Table Hands #11-15: Phan Scoops a Big One From Loosli

Level 32 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante
Ryan Phan
Ryan Phan

Hand #11: Eric Froehlich opened with a raise to 550,000 from middle position and in the big blind, Artem Metalidi three-bet to 2,200,000. Froelich then four-bet after giving it some thought, making it 6,000,000 and Metalidi quickly folded.

Hand #12: Action folded around to Aram Zobian and he received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #13: Nirath Rean moved all in from middle position with a shove for 4,040,000. Everyone else folded and Rean took down the pot.

Hand #14: Sylvain Loosli opened to 550,000 from early position. Ryan Phan was next to act and he three-bet to 1,475,000. Action folded back to Loosli quickly. He called.

The flop was {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Loosli checked. Phan put out a bet of 1,250,000 and Loosli called. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Loosli checked again. Phan checked behind.

On the {8-Diamonds} river Loosli checked. Phan put out a big river bet of 2,875,000. Loosli dropped into the tank. He called after a bit. Phan showed down his {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} for a full house and that earned him the pot, chipping him up to around 16,000,000.

Hand #15: Aram Zobian opened to 550,000 from the cutoff and action folded to the big blind where Sylvain Loosli folded as well, so Zobian took down the pot.

After the hand, Eric Froelich was moved to the outer table.

Outer Table Hand #13: Antoine Labat opened for 550,000 under the gun and Jeff Trudeau moved all in from the button for 2.4 million. Labat called with {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Trudeau showed {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. The flop came {2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}, giving Labat a pile of outs.

"That's a tough fade," Trudeau said with a smile.

He did so, sort of, on the {a-Hearts} turn, but Labat picked up even more outs as a queen would now counterfeit Trudeau's pair. The river: {k-Hearts}, pairing Labat for the win.
