Feature Table Hands #150-151: Miles Doubles Through Cynn

Level 35 : 250,000/500,000, 75,000 ante
Tony Miles
Tony Miles

Hand #150: Michael Dyer opened to 1,000,000 from middle position and Alex Lynskey defended his big blind. The flop fell {k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Lynskey check-called a bet of 925,000 from Dyer. The turn brought the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {a-Spades} on the river. Two more checks and Lynskey showed {7-}{7-} while Dyer tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} to win the pot.

Hand #151: The action folded around to John Cynn who raised it up to 1,100,000 on the button. Tony Miles called from the big blind and the flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Miles checked to Cynn who continued for 1,200,000 and Miles made the call.

The turn brought the {j-Spades} and Miles checked again. Cynn fired another 2,600,000 and Miles check-raised all in for 13,500,000. Cynn quickly called and the cards were tabled.

John Cynn: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Tony Miles: {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Miles was in the lead with two pair but Cynn had outs to counterfeit him. The dealer burned and turned the {k-Diamonds} on the river and Miles held on for a full double-up.

Ryan Phan Eliminated in 11th Place ($725,000)

Level 35 : 250,000/500,000, 75,000 ante
Ryan Phan
Ryan Phan

Secondary Table Hand #123: Artem Metalidi limped in from the hijack and Ryan Phan moved all in for 5,975,000 on the button. The blinds got out of the way and Metalidi snap-called.

Ryan Phan: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Artem Metalidi: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

Phan's rail asked for a five ball, but the {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop changed nothing whatsoever. The {10-Spades} turn was a blank, too, and Phan's run in the Main Event came to an end with the {10-Diamonds} on the river. Phan collected $725,000 for his efforts and the remaining 10 players will now combine for the unofficial final table before bagging up their chips once the field has been whittled down to the last nine.
