Steinman Over Natividad

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Ian Steinman
Ian Steinman

Ian Steinman raised to 10,000 from the button and was called by Roberto Natividad in the big blind.

The flop came {2-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, Natividad check-called the 6,000 continuation-bet of Steinman.

The turn was the {j-Clubs}, Natividad check-called again, now for 13,000.

The river completed the board with the {8-Hearts} on which they both checked. Natividad tabled {q-Spades}{5-Hearts} for the flopped pair of queens but was beaten by the {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades} of Steinman who held top pair.

Ten on River Saves Mateos

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

All of Adrian Mateos's chips were in the middle preflop as he held the {10-}{10-} against the {a-}{a-} of Ralph Wong.

The board was safe for Wong through the flop and the turn as it came {4-}{4-}{9-}{8-} but the river {10-} saved Mateos's tournament.

O'Grady Eliminates Spurlin

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Michael O'Grady had raised from the cutoff and Jordan Spurling shoved in the big blind which O'Grady called.

Jordan Spurling: {a-}{k-}
Michael O'Grady: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} to not help Spurling in any way as he was eliminated just after the dinner break, just like Oihan Abarzuza over on one of the other tables.

Smith Eliminated; Schiff Scores Huge Double-Up

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Emile Schiff
Emile Schiff

Dan Smith shoved from under the gun for 33,000 and Emile Schiff did the same for 219,500 from the button. Chen Dong called in the small blind, having both of his opponents covered.

Dan Smith: {9-}{9-}
Emile Schiff: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Chen Dong: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {8-Clubs}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts} for Schiff to flop trips immediately.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} which didn't change the situation and neither did the {6-Diamonds} on the river except for the fact that Schiff improved to a full house to eliminate Smith and earn a full double-up through Dong.

Czuczor Doubles Through Fernandez

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Javier Fernandez raised from the button to 8,000 to which Marton Czuczor responded to by shoving his remaining 125,000 from the small blind.

It folded back around the Fernandez who thought for a while before making the call.

Czuczor's tournament life was at stake with the {k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} up against Fernandez's {10-}{10-}.

The flop hit Fernandez as it came {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} but it gave Czuczor plenty of life.

The turn {q-Hearts} and river {k-Spades} brought it home for Czuczor to secure him a huge double up before the dinner break and send Fernandez to the danger zone.

Zinno Scoops the Pot

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Taylor Hart raised to 8,000 from mid-position and was called by Roberto Natividad and Anthony Zinno in the blinds.

They both checked through the {j-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts} on the flop to the {4-Clubs} on the turn. Natividad bet 16,000 and Zinno called.

The river completed the board with the {q-Hearts} on which they both checked again. Natividad tabled {a-Spades}{6-Spades} for the missed flush draw and was beaten by the {q-Spades}{4-Spades} of Zinno who had two pair.
