Schemion Downs Duka

Level 10 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

Anatoliy Duka limped in on the button and Ole Schemion shipped all in from the big blind. Duka quickly called off his stack of around 20,000 and the cards were tabled.

Ole Schemion: {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Anatoliy Duka: {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The flop fell {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Duka's ace-high was still in the lead. However, the {j-Hearts} on the turn paired Schemion and he held on through the {9-Hearts} river to eliminate Duka.

Loeser Bests Yaiche

Level 10 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Down to his last 12,000, Basil Yaiche ended up at risk with the {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Manig Loeser had the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop gave Loeser a gutshot and the {7-Diamonds} turn locked up the hand for the German, which made the {9-Clubs} river a formality. Loeser advanced to the round of 64 and has just a short break before the next match kicks off.

Peters Makes Broadway to Double Up

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

David Peters shoved all in for 26,300 on the button and was met with a quick call from Jonathan Jaffe. Peters turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for two live cards against Jaffe's {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} to put Jaffe out front with a pair of aces. However, the {10-Diamonds} on the turn gave Peters a straight and the {3-Diamonds} on the river ensured him of a double up.

Duka and Yaiche Double

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Ole Schemion jammed into Anatoliy Duka and the latter called for his last 16,800.

Anatoliy Duka: {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Ole Schemion: {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

The {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop gave both players a pair, and the Duka turned two pair with the {10-Spades}.

"Now a king," Schemion demanded, however, the {7-Clubs} river was a blank.

Basil Yaiche also doubled when he held up for the last 18,800 with {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} against the {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} of Manig Loeser. The board came {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and the queen was good enough for Yaiche.

A completed board of {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Spades} was spread across the felt with around 18,000 in the middle. The action was on David Peters in the big blind who stuck in a bet of 50,000. Jonathan Jaffe instantly announced all in for slightly less with 41,600.
