Manuel Ruivo Eliminated in 5th Place ($57,326)

Level 42 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Manuel Ruivo
Manuel Ruivo

Anatolii Zyrin limped in the cutoff, and Manuel Ruivo, in the small blind, raised to 675,000. Zyrin stuck around with a call.

A flop of {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} was dealt, and Ruivo threw in a bet of 755,000. Zyrin responded by moving all in for about 4,900,000. Ruivo took a few seconds of reflection but then made the call, putting the last of his chips at risk.

Manuel Ruivo: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Anatolii Zyrin: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The {9-Spades} turn and {2-Diamonds} river filled up the board and Zyrin raked in the pot with his set of fives, ending Ruivo's run in 5th place for $57,326.

Zyrin Doubles Through Ruivo

Level 42 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Anatolii Zyrin
Anatolii Zyrin

Anatolii Zyrin open-shoved 2,690,000 on the button and Adrian Scarpa folded the small blind. Manuel Ruivo, however, instantly flicked in a calling chip to put Zyrin at risk.

Anatolii Zyrin: {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Manuel Ruivo: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Ruivo was ahead at the start and remained ahead after the flop fell {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. The turn {3-Hearts} put Zyrin one card away from elimination, but he spiked the {k-Hearts} on the river to save his tournament life and double up. Visibly disgusted by the outcome, Ruivo paid off the requisite amount.

Updated Counts; Little Action

Level 41 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
