Roth Runs Into the Nuts

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

The turn showed {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Christopher Roth checked with a single T-1,000 chip behind. Larry Kantor bet and Roth asked "do you have a flush?"

Kantor replied "I don't think I am allowed to say that," and Roth called all in shortly after.

"I have the nuts," Kantor announced and rolled over {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for the ace-high flush.

"That's terrific," Roth joked as he was drawing dead with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} to see a meaningless {3-Hearts} roll off on the river when he headed out of the tournament area.

Zaichenko Chops With a Wheel

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

On a {8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts} board, Phil Hellmuth checked from the small blind and Philip Sternheimer bet from the big blind. Andrey Zaichenko was the third player in the hand and called, as did Hellmuth.

The river was the {3-Hearts}. It checked to Zaichenko who bet.

"Is this for real?" asked Hellmuth before folding.

Sternheimer called. Zaichenko showed {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a rivered wheel and the nut low, but Sternheimer held {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for a flush to chop the pot.

Two Chops and a Bustout

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

On the three-way turn of {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, Frankie O'Dell checked and called a bet by Anthony Alberto, as did Gary Bolden. The {a-Hearts} fell on the river and O'Dell bet, this time only Alberto called.

O'Dell turned over {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} for the low and Alberto took the high pot with {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a full house.

One hand later, Bradley Helm was all in and he picked up calls by Ylon Schwartz and Bolden. The board came {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Schwartz bet the river, Bolden called. Schwartz tabled the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} to take the high and Bolden had {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for the low.

Helm tabled his {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a straight and inferior low to join the rail.

Jameson Painter: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} - one pair
James Obst: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} - two pair (queens & fives)
Curtis Phelps: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} - one pair

With no low, Guagenti's two pair held and he sent Obst and Phelps to the rail, moving above 400,000 in the process.

Dehkharghani Chips Up in Three-Way Pot

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

"I even check-raised it, that'll teach me," Robert Slezak said after he had to settle for half of the low pot in three-way action with Ray Dehkharghani and Ken Aldridge. Slezak had two flush draws, a gutshot and the nut low with {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} on the board {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

Aldridge had the same low with {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} to claim the second half of the low pot, while Dehkharghani claimed the high half of the main pot with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts} for trips kings.
