Bendor Still Leads

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Yarron Bendor came into the day as the only player over 300,000 and he's now one of a couple of players over 400,000. However, Bendor sits on 470,000 and appears to still head the remaining field of 74 players.

Zaichenko Rising; Depa Doubles

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Andrey Zaichenko was left short not long ago but jumped back above the average when he scooped a pot against Phil Hellmuth. Zaichenko bet the turn and river of a board {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs} and rolled over {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for aces up and an ace-trey low. Hellmuth checked his cards and mucked.

Soon after, Jonathan Depa doubled through John Racener with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Spades} for top two pair on a {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} board. The cards of Racener were already mucked and the dealer had announced three pair for him.

Woodward Triples Up

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Dylan Linde opened from under the gun, and the two Phils - Ivey and Hellmuth - called from the button and small blind respectively, with Matt Woodward calling from the big blind.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Ivey bet 5,000. Woodward was all in for 6,500 and Linde raised to 10,000. Hellmuth folded and Ivey called.

The turn {9-Clubs} and river {2-Hearts} were checked with Ivey showing {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for two pair, beating Linde's {a-}{a-}{x-}{x-}. Woodward showed {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for a flush and won the pot, tripling up in the process.

Barlow Eliminated by Dehkharghani

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Todd Barlow was spotted on his way out of the tournament area and his cards were still tabled while the dealer sorted out the pots. Barlow had been all in with the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{q-}{10-Spades} and Ryan Miller got involved with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

However, it was Ray Dehkharghani that had the best of it with {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} on a board of {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} to claim two third of the pot with his straight and ace-four low. Miller had the same low and the aces of Barlow were no good.

10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better
10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

The start of day 2 must have appeared like a dream to Jeremy Heartberg, as the extended late registration saw Phil Ivey and Phil Hellmuth sit down to his left and right. Heartberg got his share of fame as media rushed by to take pictures, but unfortunately he just ran out of chips and was eliminated by Hellmuth, who has doubled the stack since sitting down when the cards got back in the air.

Further recent casualties include Dan Zack and Marco Johnson.

Yeh Calls Painter River Raise

Level 12 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

On a {9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} board Andrew Yeh bet and was raised by Jameson Painter.

Yeh took his time studying the board before calling. He nodded as Painter showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades} for a flopped straight and mucked his hand.

Meanwhile, 2017 WSOP Player of the Year Chris Ferguson has been eliminated.
