Bolden's Money Chopped Up

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Ylon Schwartz and Frankie O'Dell limped before Gary Bolden raised in the cutoff. David Benyamine and the other two players all called.

The river was the {10-Spades}. Schwartz bet, O'Dell called and Bolden open-mucked {2-}{2-}{8-}

Schwartz showed {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} for the nut low and chopped with Bolden's {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} for the nut flush.

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Shannon Shorr ended up all in and Mike Wattel as well as Andrey Zaichenko remained active in the hand. Zaichenko bet the turn and check-called a bet on the river of the {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} board.

Wattel tabled {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for nines and deuces with the nut low and Zaichenko had {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs} for eights and treys, while Shorr briefly flashed and mucked what appeared to be {j-Spades}{7-}{3-}{2-Spades}.

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Perry Friedman ended up all in and at risk with his short stack on the {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} turn and was called by Robert Slezak.

Friedman tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a pair and nut low, while Slezak had {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for an inferior pair and same low. The {4-Hearts} fell on the river and Friedman took three quarters of the pot to chip up and remain in contention.

Bendor and Guagenti In the Lead

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Yarron Bendor and Nick Guagenti have pulled away from the rest of the field while Johannes Becker has dropped a lot of chips as of recently.

Bendor was also involved in the latest hand on their table, on which the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} river was checked through. Larry Kantor rolled over {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for two pair and a live trey, while Tom Koral tabled his {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} for superior two pair. Bendor mucked and Kantor claimed the low pot, Koral the high pot.

On a {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board, both Chris Vitch and Ryan Miller checked to a third player who was all in for 5,000. The pair called and the river {q-Diamonds} was checked by both players.

Chris Vitch: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} - ace-high
Ryan Miller: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} - two pair
All-in Player: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} - ace-high

With no low, Miller's hand was best and sent a player to the rail.

Higgs on a Heater

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Sam Higgs
Sam Higgs

Sam Higgs bet throughout a board of {q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and forced folds from Mike Wattel and John Racener to get his stack up to around 445,000. That was the start of a rush for the Aussie, as he continued with plenty of aggression.

In the next hand he defended out of the small blind against a raise by Philip Sternheimer and check-called on the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop. Higgs check-raised the {4-Hearts} turn and Sternheimer called before Higgs bet the {q-Diamonds} river as well. Sternheimer called all in and was shown the {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a flush and a low. Sternheimer only had {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and was eliminated.

Higgs took on Wattel and Racener once more and this time it was just Racener that called a river bet on {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Higgs rolled over {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a full house and scored the next pot.

One hand later, Chris Bjorin was all in after four-way action to the {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts} turn as Andrey Zaichenko had led. Higgs called in the cutoff and also called another bet by Zaichenko on the {j-Hearts} river.

Zaichenko {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}) and Bjorin {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} chopped the low and Higgs took the high portion with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

Perry Friedman
Perry Friedman

Perry Friedman was all in with the {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Ryan Miller looked him up with the {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. On a board of {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, Miller's two pair with nines and treys scooped the pot and Friedman was eliminated.

"Alright, you win the glasses," he said and pushed over his sunglasses to Miller.

Bjorin Eliminated; Ivey Surging

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Andrey Zaichenko raised and got calls from Derek McMaster as well as Phil Ivey on the button. Chris Bjorin raised in the small blind and was all in for 18,000.

The other players all called and the flop {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} was checked around. The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Zaichenko checked to McMaster who bet and got two calls.

The river {k-Hearts} was checked. Zaichenko showed {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for an eight-five low and a pair of fours. McMaster mucked and Ivey showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a pair of queens.

Bjorin double checked his cards before opening {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} face up on the table and he was eliminated.
