On a raised pot, the flop brought {7-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts} when Steven van Zadelhoff called on the button a bet worth 4,000 from his opponent.

Both players checked the turn {q-Diamonds} and the dealer showed a {9-Hearts} on the river. Both players checked once more and van Zadelhoff tabled {2-Spades}{q-Spades} for a pair of queens, but lost the pot when his opponent turned over {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of aces.

Machado Takes One Out

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Manuel Machado raised to 5,500 on the cutoff. The player in the small blind three-bet shoved for about 75,000. Machado made the call.

Manuel Machado: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The board came {5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} and Machado eliminated his opponent.

Machado, who hails from Portugal, has been playing for many years, yet has only ever won ranking poker events in his home country. With a total tournament earnings of $79,986, should Machado go on to win the Millionaire Maker, he'll bag a seven-figure score for victory - a result that so many recreational players who remain in the event are dreaming of.

Heidi May raised and was called by Justin Kindred on the button. The flop came {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Kindred called May's continuation bet for 2,500 chips. The same action happened on the turn {8-Clubs}, this time for 10,000.

After some thought, she eventually called with {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} only to see {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} revealed as her opponent's hand for two pair and she was eliminated from the tournament.
