Smith Pots on River

Level 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

PLO

Dan Smith, Andreas Freund, and a player in the big blind made it to the {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop which was checked to the {6-Clubs} turn. The small blind led out 900 and only Smith called.

The river card was the {4-Diamonds} and Smith's neighbor checked to the high roller who announced a pot-sized bet, making it 2,900. His opponent released his cards after a brief thought.

Kruse Survives Thanks to the Low

Level 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Max Kruse completed with the {a-Hearts} and he tangled with two opponents. One of them had an ace as well and fired on fourth and they all continued to fifth where he paired his ace, so he fired again. Kruse's board rolled up low and he called and so did the third player who deuces out. The three players continued to the river with Kruse all in for last 575 on sixth street. The side pot remained empty as the final street was checked down.

Kruse's neighbor wished the soccer player good luck and Kruse thanked him. "I'm pretty sure I need it," the German striker replied.

He didn't hit a scoop but was able to seize at least half of the pot with eighty-six low, earning half of the third player's invested chips.

Kruse: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs} / {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Second player: {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} / {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Third player: {x-}{x-}{x-} / {2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Ross Coolered in Stud

Level 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

Stud

Jerry Wong made it to fifth street but only Mike Ross and a third player continued thereafter as Ross called a bet while Wong let it go. Ross had nines out while his opponent's board was showing a pair of jacks. Ross called on sixth and faced another bet on seventh. He raised and his opponent three-bet. Ross called, holding nines full, but he finished second as the other player turned up queens full of jacks.

Ross: {9-}{7-}{x-} / {7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} / {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

Omaha Hi-Lo

Dan Smith was in the cutoff, checking to his opponent who bet on the {5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} turn. Smith called and the {a-Spades} hit the felt. Smith checked again and he faced a bet again. He took about 20 seconds and then laid his hand down.

Level 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

Stud

David Bach faced off against one opponent with Bach pairing a nine on fourth street. Bach was called on fourth and fifth and he fired again on sixth only to get raised. Bach called and then called one final bet on the river. His opponent, however, turned up a full house and Bach was left with 1,500 at the end of the level.

Bach: {x-}{x-}{x-} / {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} / {k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Leonard's Bluff Works Perfectly

Level 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Patrick Leonard and his right-hand neighbor drew two each on the first draw. Leonard bet in position, earned a call, and the next draw went two and pat. Leonard barreled and he was called again. The other player changed one and Leonard fired one more time, finally forcing his opponent to fold.

Leonard showed that he was snowing with {7-}{7-} and he was able to get the maximum out of his well-executed bluff.

Kruse and Hamid Give Up

Level 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

Stud

Soccer star Max Kruse called after his neighbor completed and Abdel Hamid joined the two players to fourth street where he and Kruse called again. Kruse gave up on fifth street where Hamid called another barrel. Hamid called on sixth as well but he wasn't willing to pay the final bet on seventh street.

Kruse: {x-}{x-} / {6-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs} - folded on fifth
Hamid: {x-}{x-} / {4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades} / {x-} - folded on seventh
Third player: {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} / {x-}
