Bronstein Pulls Two Pair, Sends Groth Out

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Tyler Groth: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} / {8-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} / {3-Hearts}
Noah Bronstein: {2-Spades}{7-Spades} / {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} / {7-Diamonds}

Tyler Groth moved the rest of his chips all in on fourth street and Noah Bronstein obliged. Groth ended with a pair of jacks and Bronstein was behind until seventh where he drew a {7-Diamonds}. Bronstein took down the pot with his two pair, eliminating Groth from the tournament.

Long Makes a Statement: He's Ready to Defend His Tiltle

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Philip Long was in a huge three-way pot against Chris Vitch and Donny Rubinstein with all three players making it to seventh street. There was over 200,000 in the middle of the table and Long's board showed three wheel cards and a pair of fives. Vitch folded his hand but Rubinstein called with two aces out.

"Wheel," Long said, tabling his hand and Rubinstein only nodded. The defending champion scooped it all and vaulted over 500,000-mark.

Vitch: {x-}{x-}{x-} / {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs} - folded on seventh
Rubinstein: {x-}{x-}{x-} / {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Long: {5-}{4-}{3-} / {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Short-Stacked Brink Finds a Double

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

NLH

Frederik Brink was down to last 69,500 but the accomplished no-limit player found some pulse thanks to a hand of NLH. It was an easy one for Brink who looked down at {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and he found a customer in Allen Kessler who held {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}. The board of {2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} ran smoothly for Brink who doubled his possessions.

Evans Drags a Monster Pot to Take the Lead

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

PLO

The turned board read {j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and there was around 150,000 in the pot. John Evans checked to Chris Tryba who pushed in 125,000 and Evans called.

The river came down a {6-Diamonds} and Evans instantly moved all in for 184,000. Tryba called and Evans tabled the nuts, showing {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for the nut flush. Tryba said "Good hand," as he pushed most of his stack over to Evans.

Kessler Tackles Rocha

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Frederik Brink raised on the button and Alex Rocha called for his last 15,000. Allen Kessler joined the action from the big blind and the check-called a bet to the side pot when the {9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{10-Spades} landed. Brink checked back the {j-Diamonds} turn and he folded when Kessler led out on the {q-Spades} river. Rocha had already stood up, knowing his hand was unlikely the best.

Kessler showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades} for the Broadway and Rocha was on his way to payout desk. The dealer turned up his beholdings, exposing {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.
