Kurtzman Sends Crooks Home

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

The players start out with a very deep stack as they enter the tournament with 26,200 at the big blind of 100. Eben Kurtzman already sent Matthew Crooks to the rail and he is now up to 470 big blinds.

The pot had about 20,000 in it and the board read {10-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} when Crooks put in his last 12,000.

Kurtzman didn't take too long before he put his chips in the middle as well.

Kurtzman opened up {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and he was ahead against the {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} of Crooks.

The river was the {6-Spades} and Kurtzman sent Crooks to the rail in the first level of the tournament.

Blumenfield Calls Twice

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Neil Blumenfield raised to 300 from the hijack with only five players, including himself, present at the table. The player next to him in the cutoff called but the player on the button three-bet to 1,200. The 2015 WSOP Main Event third-place finisher called and the other player got out of the way.

The flop was dealt {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} and Blumenfield check-called a bet of 1,100. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and Blumenfield checked again. He was then facing a bet of 3,000 and he let go of his hand.

Thurman Takes Some to Torbey

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

It folded to Keith Thurman in the small blind who checked and Amer Torbey raised it to 400. Thurman made the call and both players checked throughout the board {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

On the river {10-Spades}, Thurman bet 800 and Torbey quickly called but mucked when Thurman turned over {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for two pair.

Sitbon Wins a Small One

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

On a three-way pot, the flop showed {5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} when the players in the blinds checked, followed by Julien Sitbon in the cutoff.

The turn fell a {3-Clubs} and after a first checked, the big blind bet 400, only called by Sitbon. Both checked on the river {10-Spades} and the big blind revealed {2-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a pair of threes while Sitbon tabled {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a pair of fives.
