Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

In a blind versus blind situation, the flop showed {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} when the small blind bet 500 before calling Keith Thurman's raise for 1,500.

On the turn {8-Diamonds}, Thurman bet 4,000 after his opponent checked and it was enough to take down the pot. Thurman showed {10-Spades}{8-Spades} to the table.

Chan Takes From Laak

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Phil Laak raised to 800 from early position and the only player to call was Ian Chan on the button. He stuck around and the players in the blinds got out of the way.

The flop fell {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Laak continued with a bet of 1,000. Chan called again to see the {8-Clubs} on the turn. Both players checked this time and they did so as well on the {5-Spades} river.

Laak showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} but he was outflopped by the {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} of Chan.

Teh Takes One

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

A few hands after arriving in the tournament, Nathalie Teh called a bet for 1,500 from a cutoff on a flop {3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

Both players checked on the {6-Spades} turn and the dealer revealed a {q-Hearts} on the river. Teh bet 2,600 after her opponent checked and the latter ended up calling after a minute. Teh tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and it was enough to make her opponent muck his cards.

Small Pot Without Showdown to Elpayaa

Joseph Elpayaa
Joseph Elpayaa

The flop was {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} and the pot had about 3,300 in it when Joseph Elpaya check-called a 1,100 bet on the flop.

The turn was the {j-Diamonds} and both players checked this time. The {6-Clubs} river completed the board and Elpayaa lead out with a bet of 3,600 now.

That was too much for his opponent and Elpayaa scooped up the pot.

Gathy Down to a Short Stack

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Michael Gathy
Michael Gathy

On a flop {4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} with 8,500 already in the middle, Michael Gathy bet 2,200 for the small blind position and after a minute, his opponent raised it to 5,100. Gathy quickly moved all in, putting his opponent's tournament at risk and the latter snap-called:

Michael Gathy: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
His opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

A {q-Hearts} didn't change anything and the river fell a {q-Spades}, giving the nut flush to his opponent and leaving Gathy with a stack worth 4,000.
