Small Pot to Elpayaa

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Joseph Elpayaa
Joseph Elpayaa

It folded to the player on the button and he raised to 800. The only player in the blinds that was interested was big blind Joseph Elpayaa. He called and they went heads-up to the flop.

The dealer spread the {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop on the board and Elpayaa checked to the initial raiser. He continued with a bet of 600 and Elpayaa went for the check-raise to 2,800.

His opponent got out of the way and Elpayaa took down a pot.

Blumenfield Loses Big

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

The pot already contained around 8,000 and the flop showed {j-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds} when Neil Blumenfield bet 3,000 from the button after his opponent checked. The latter made the call.

Things heated on the turn {q-Hearts} as Blumenfield's opponent pushed all in for a stack worth 12,200. Blumenfield took one minute before saying "Ok, let's go!" for the call and both tabled their cards:

Neil Blumenfield: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
His opponent: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Blumenfield had to hit a straight on the river, facing his opponent's set of jacks, but a {a-Clubs} fell and he was left with a short stack after that hand.

Kebe's Bluff Fails

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Jimmy Kebe defended his big blind when he saw a player open from middle position to 800. Kebe called to see the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop and he check-called another bet.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river was the {3-Clubs} and Kebe went for the check-raise. His opponent bet 2,700 and Kebe immediately raised to 9,500.

It didn't take too long for his opponent to call and Kebe opened up {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for second pair but that wasn't enough to win the pot against the {k-Spades}{10-Spades} of his opponent.

Gathy Grinds his Chips Back

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Michael Gathy
Michael Gathy

Left earlier with a short stack of less than 5,000, Michael Gathy is now in possession of a stack around 48,000.

On the last hand, he opened under the gun to 600 before calling a three-bet of 1,800. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Gathy check-called for 1,500.

The turn {5-Hearts} brought no betting action and a {4-Diamonds} fell on the river. Gathy fired 15,000, putting his opponent at risk for his tournament and after a minute the latter folded his hand.
