Fernandez Claims Another Victim

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Anuj Kwatra opened to 42,000 from under the gun and was called by Francis Witek in the small blind and Sergio Fernandez in the big blind. The flop fell {j-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Witek checked to Fernandez who bet 60,000. Kwatra folded and Witek called.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Witek checked again. Fernandez stuck in enough chips to put Witek to the test for his remaining 170,000. He thought for a couple of minutes before finally making the call. Witek tabled {j-Spades}{10-Spades} which was leading the {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} of Fernandez.

It was a great turn card for Fernandez as he picked up a ton of outs. One of those outs was the {7-Clubs} that hit the river and Fernandez made a flush to eliminate Witek.

Fernandez Finds a Way to Win

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Derek Bowers just doubled up his short stack but was looking to do it one more time. He shoved all in for around 250,000 in the cutoff and Sergio Fernandez called on the button while the two blinds folded.

Sergio Fernandez: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Derek Bowers: {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} to give both players a pair but Fernandez also picked up a flush draw. The {4-Spades} on the turn changed nothing and Bowers was one card away from another double up. However, the {8-Hearts} hit the river to give Fernandez a flush and Bowers was eliminated.

Salimbene Doubles Through Hong

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Sergio Fernandez opened to 35,000 in early position and Peter Hong called from the cutoff. Nicholas Salimbene was in the big blind and three-bet shoved all in for 414,000. Fernandez folded and Hong took a moment before calling.

Nicholas Salimbene: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Peter Hong: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts} to give Hong a pair of queens but Salimbene's pocket kings were still out front. The {k-Spades} on the turn and the {2-Spades} on the river solidified the double up for Salimbene.

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Vladimir Alexandrov opened to 35,000 in the hijack and Preston Lee shoved all in from the big blind. Alexandrov instantly called off his stack of 323,000 and was in great shape heading to the flop.
