Ved Four-Bets Hellmuth

Kartik Ved raised from the cutoff to 2,500 and received a call from the player in the small blind. Phil Hellmuth then three-bet from the big blind to 11,500. With action back on Ved, he four-bet to 20,000. The small blind folded and Hellmuth studied the situation, gave Ved a bit of a spiel about laying down a hand as to not get sucked out by a player overplaying his hand, and proceeded to fold.

In the meantime, Ved has amassed a stack that is certainly near the top of the leaderboard at this point in the tournament.

The tournament director has announced the official prize pool information. There were a total of 2,477 entrants generating a total prize pool of $2,229,300. In total, 372 players will make the money with a min-cash of $1,500. The winner will receive a WSOP gold bracelet and a massive $341,854 payday. Complete payout information will be displayed shortly.

Jordan Young opened the action with a raise from middle position to 3,500. David Santucci was on his immediate left and called. Action folded to the hijack, who three-bet to 18,000. All remaining players folded and action was back on Young, who went all in for 62,000. Santucci called all in for less and the hijack got counts on both stacks before folding his hand.
