Verreijt Doubles Through De Silva

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Bas Verreijt
Bas Verreijt

Upeshka De Silva raised to 40,000 from mid-position and was called by both the small blind and Bas Verreijt in the big blind.

The flop came {j-Spades}{q-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, and both the small blind and Verreijt checked. De Silva continued with a bet of 45,000 which led to a fold from the player in the small, but Verreijt shoved for 275,000 and De Silva snap-called with the bigger stack.

Bas Verreijt: {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Upeshka De Silva: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Verreijt had gone all-in with two pair while De Silva had flopped a Broadway.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} but the {j-Hearts} river gave Verreijt a full house to preserve his tournament life and earn a huge double-up back into the tournament through former double bracelet winner De Silva.
