Catherine Valdes

In back-to-back hands Catherine Valdez doubled up and then was eliminated by David Gonia.

In the first hand Gonia raised to 275,000 from the under-the-gun position and was called by a player in middle position.

Action folded to Valdez, who then three-bet shoved from the small blind, which was followed by a four-bet shove for less from Gonia and a fold from the middle position.

David Gonia: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Catherine Valdez: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-}{j-Diamonds}, whch secured the double-up for Gonia.

The very next hand a player raised from the middle position and Valdez three-bet shoved all in from the button.

Paul Lentz folded in his small blind, Gonia made the call from his big blind and the original raiser folded.

Catherine Valdez: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
David Gonia: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}, which gave Gonia a full house and eliminated Valdez from the tournament.

Big Double Up for Ivers

Level 27 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

A first player opened and the cut-off three-bet to 700,000. David Ivers, on the button, announced all in for 2,750,000. It folded back to the cut-off who tanked for a few minutes before calling.

It was a typical flip situation, Ivers holding {a-Spades}{q-Spades} and his opponent {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. The board fell {2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, giving Ivers two pair and the double up.

Scott Davies
Scott Davies

According to Scott Davies, he moved all in for 1,400,000 from middle position and the button re-jammed before the other players all folded.

Davies held {9-}{9-} against his opponent's {j-}{j-} but received no help and was eliminated.

"It was the best experience of my entire life," said Davies. "I mean, it's a record. The whole tournament is going to be in the Guinness Book of World Records."

Davies said that he was going to grab a bite to eat before jumping in the Six Max bracelet event which began earlier.

"Back to the grind!" he said with a smile.

Budovsky Gifted Into the Chiplead

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Just before the break Daniel Budovsky raised to 225,000 from the middle position, action folded to the player in the cutoff, and he three-bet to 600,000.

Budovsky made the call and they went heads up to a flop of {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

After Budovsky checked, the cutoff continued for 600,000, and Budovsky responded with a check-raise to 1,600,000.

The cutoff then four-bet jammed and was snap-called by Budovsky.

Daniel Budovsky: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Cutoff: {k-Clubs}{5-Spades}

The {2-} turn and {10-} river completed the board, and once the stacks had been counted the cutoff was eliminated and the massive pot was shipped to Budovsky.
