Morcombe Knocks Shah and His Aces Out

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

The flop was {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} when Syed Shah put the rest of his chips in the middle and Andrew Morcombe called. The two players turned over their hands and Shah was at risk.

Shah tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a pair of aces with the nut flush draw and Morcome turned over {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a flopped straight. The board ran out {3-Hearts}{a-Spades} and Shah's rivered set of aces was not enough to overcome the straight of Morcombe as he was eliminated.
