Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2019 World Series of Poker (WSOP) for Day 2 of Event #30: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha.
Only 309 of the original 1,526 runners that started this event will be returning for the second day after an action-packed ten-levels of four card play.
Stefan Ivanov found two big hands at the end of Day 1 to catapult its stack right into the first place position on the leaderboard. Ivanov will be starting the day with an impressive 386,000 and will be looking to secure his second cash during this years WSOP thus far.
Some other big stacks to start the day include Luis Zedan (374,000), Joseph Sabe (330,000), and Szymon Wysocki (306,500) who are the only three other players above the 300,000 mark. Jon Turner will also be coming in with a healthy stack of 258,000. Turner has 72 WSOP cashes for a total of over 1.3 million in earnings and will be looking to add another here.
Many bracelet winners made the second day of this event and some of that list consist of Canadian Calen Mcneil (207,500), JC Tran (200,500), David Halpern (194,000), Daniel Zack (135,500), 888poker ambassador Chris Moorman (115,000), Philip Long (110,000), and Phil Laak (108,000).
The remaining players will be starting today just 80 shy of the money and the bubble will be sure to come quickly after seeing yesterdays non-stop potting affair. Those lucky enough to outlast the bubble will be pulling in a min-cash of $1,502 and that will boost all the way up to $236,673 for the eventual winner.
Day 2 will have a 2 p.m. restart and will resume with the blinds at 1,000/2,000. The day will play a total of ten 60-minute levels before players bag and tag for the night. There will be a break after every two hours of play and a 60-minute dinner break after the 16th level.

Day 2 of Event #30: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha is officially underway.
The flop read and there was around 10,000 in the pot. Andrew Donabedian, who won Event #25: $600 Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack for $205,665 just yesterday, moved all in for his remaining stack of about 8,500 and Ray Henson called. Both players tabled their hands.
Donabedian showed for two pair with a flush draw and Henson tabled , giving him ace-high but a higher flush draw.
The board ran out and Henson's spiked queen played with the board for a higher two pair, giving him the pot and eliminating Donabedian in the process.

Matt Sterling moved all in for 20,000 under the gun after a flop of flop and was called by Pierre Calamusa from late position.

Sterling was trailing the pocket aces of Calamusa until the came on the turn and gave him the jack-high straight.
The river was the and Sterling got the early double through Calamusa.

With the board showing Sean Dunwoodie pushed the all in and Andrei Mitsiuk called for less.

Dunwoodie quickly mucked his hand after the dealer put the on the turn and river and Mitsuik doubled up with the flush on the river.

Syzmon Wysocki opened to 5,000 from under the gun and JC Tran called in the small blind. The dealer spread out on the flop and both players checked to the turn card.
Action checked to Wysocki who fired in 10,000 and was quickly checked-called by Tran. The came on the river and Chan checked to Wysocki who pushed in 26,500.
Chan thought for a moment and then called the river bet of Wysocki who instantly tabled for a rivered flush. Chan threw his cards in the muck and Wysocki pulled in the pot.

Jon Turner opened with a raise to 4,000 from middle position and action folded around Neil Yekell who called from the big blind.
Yekell fired out 4,000 after a flop of flop, Turner called.
Both players checked the on the turn and the dealer put the on the river.
Yekell check-called the 8,500 bet from Turner on the river and Turner tabled for a turned flush and he raked in the pot.

Philip Long limped from middle position and a player on the button called as well. Blake Whittington checked his option from the big blind and the dealer fanned out as a flop.
Whittington led out for 5,000 and was only called by Long. The peeled off on the turn and Whittington pushed in 12,000. Long folded his hand and Whittington pulled in the pot.
